Boxing in MA & RI

From: Brian, Ryan & Lori (bconnoll@marksonrosenthal.com) | Date: 2002-11-18 15:05:01 UTC
TeamGreenDragon was out in the rain on Saturday at the Norman Bird
Sanctuary in Newport RI and picked up "Craig's Crag" (Logbook was a
little wet:(, we added an additional ZipLock :)), "Norman Bird", and
"Hanging Rock"(What a great place!!). We where unable to locate the
third in this series, the one on the ridge. Does anybody know if this
is missing? We ended the afternoon at the "Red Parrot" with "Ultimate
Irish Coffees".We had the whole team together on Sunday and headed
for the Cape to get both the "Cape Cod Canal Bourne Bridge"
and "Railroad Bridge" Boxes (Both in fine shape:)).Stopped by "The
Art Experience" in Avon MA to pick up some of "the pink stuff"(this
is a great store)and headed home.

Where are the clues listed for the letterboxes at the Norman Bird
Sanctuary? I thought I heard that there were some there, but I have
never been able to find the clues. Thanks for your help! I'll let you
know if we find the third one. Probably after Thanksgiving.

Hello,
The clues are listed as "Fond Farewell" in the RI section of the clue
map.

Gee we must have passed in the rain out in Middletown. After a hot
lunch and reviving drinks at The Wharf Tavern, we headed out to try
the Purgatory Point boxes. We found the spot at Purgatory Chasm, but
alas the box seems to be missing. Does anyone know the status of
this box? Then it got too dark for trying
the box at Sachuest. We almost did the Norman Bird Sanctuary ones
instead!

Although replaced after vandalism back in June 2000, that box was
again reported vandalized in August 2000 -- see message #3559.
